Civil War Innovations

A few innovations of the civil war were the uses of army ambulance corps, new medical innovations, a new form of communication in the telegraph, railroads, and aerial reconnaissance.  The new medical procedures and forces saved countless lives in the civil war.  It may not have been perfect, but it allowed people to save infections and preserve the body.  Communication was vital for the Civil War, it allowed for information to be passed quickly and specifically.  Railroads allowed for quick transportation of troops.  Aerial reconnaissance was also crucial for information gathering.
